The Consortium of Catholic Academies (CCA) has been committed to delivering exceptional academic, social - emotional, and financial support to 800+ dynamic amd diverse students for 25 years.
In 1995, the Archdiocese of Washington identified a need for additional support at several of its Catholic schools in the District. In 1997, a consortium of schools with a central office to oversee financial and administrative needs was established. Under the consortium model, principals have more time to support and guide staff and students.
The Monumental Scholars Fund (MSF), with tremendous support from Speaker of the House John Boehner, a committed board of directors, and generous donors led fundraising for the CCA until August 2020, when the CCA and MSF merged.
The Ms. Paula Scholarship, established in 2010 in memory of Speaker Boehner's long time Chief of Staff, Ms. Paula Nowakowski, continues to honor her memory, and is awarded annually.
